MOSL Software Application

Mission to the Orbiting Space Laboratory (MOSL) is a day long space science experience for Year 9 and 10 students. Students work as a team and use all their problem solving skills to successfully complete a Mission. During the day all students act as Astronauts, Mission Controllers and undertake a range of Human Physiology tasks.

This mission is conducted under the direction of Mission Control who monitors the systems of the space laboratory and track near Earth objects for potential collision.

The MOSL program is designed to be integrated into the Victorian Secondary School curriculum and complies with VELS guidelines. The program is supported by a pre-mission training program and a debriefing program after your class returns.

Aerion Technologies' involvement

Aerion Technologies performed maintenance and upgrading of the MOSL software. The MOSL system had a major bug in the server program which caused the system to crash at random times during a mission. We were able to solve this major bug which has now produced a stable system for VSSEC to run the MOSL program with.
